India vs England 5th Test Match Preview

India has already nailed the series at the Wankhede Stadium and snatched all probable chance from England to level the series. All England can do now is play for pride in Chennai. India would love to clinch one more match and make this even a bigger series win for the team. The team under Kohli has looked absolutely unstoppable. And what a year this has been for Kohli. For England, this tour has been unstable. They managed a drawn series in Bangladesh followed by a good performance at Rajkot. But fortunes changed after that. Spirited performances from Indian players gave English players nightmares. James Anderson might give way to Broad. He hasn't looked too effective on India pitches. The negation of swing makes him easy to handle. For example, Kohli or Pujara looked pretty comfortable guiding the ball to boundaries against James Anderson.

For India, Ishant Sharma is available after his marriage. But Kohli might not be comfortable tweaking his winning XI. Even Karun Nair hasn't been too impressive with the bat so far. But a winning team can still provide more opportunities to the youngsters. The maximum Kohli would try is to include Manish Pandey in place of Nair. Otherwise, he should be comfortable providing another opportunity to KL Rahul at the top. Rahul has proved his worth many times in the recent past.

Chepauk in Chennai hasn't been a pleasant ground for England. Last time when they played here, India chased a big 387 to win the test. Sachin flourished with a ton on the final day. England's last win came here in 1985. That was way back, isn't it? Neither form nor the fortunes favour England.

Let's see how the visiting team can resist this in form Indian team. After this test match, the England players will fly back home for a Christmas and New Year break. Following this we will see Dhoni back in action as the two teams lock horns for ODI and T20 matches. Stay tuned with us for more match previews and reviews. Enjoy live cricket match on HotStar.

India vs England 4th Test Live Streaming HotStar Information

India vs England 4th Test Match Preview

England team returns to the stage after a well deserved break. After lagging behind 2-0 hopefully they are ready with some strong plans for the fourth test match against India. Last time when they faced India at Wankhede stadium in 2012, they came out as winners. But then, they were lagging behind by just one test match and they emerged as series winners winning rest of two matches. This time the best they can do is win the next two matches and level the series. But this looks unlikely too. Way Indians are dominating the series, it seems rather hard. Virat Kohli and team are high on confidence and eager to win another test series.

The pitches have been bat friendly and yet we have seen results. This time the critics haven't got a chance to say Indian pitches are just for spinners. Right from Broad to Jadeja, they all have enjoyed bowling in this series.

Indian team has faced some injury issues. The good part is they have always found a worthy replacement. Saha was well replaced by Parthiv Patel. He was raw and confidence against the English bowlers. As far as Indian bowling is concerned, it still revolves around Ravichandran Ashwin. For a change we also saw the pacers doing a great job. Especially those quick bouncers from Shami. You would rarely see such bold bouncers from an Indian bowler. Jayant Yadav has emerged as a decent all rounder for the team. Ajinkya Rahane is out with injury for rest of the series.

Hameed who batted very well for England is out with injury. England has roped in Keaton Jennings in his place. England needs to bank on spinners on the Mumbai track. This could probably be the biggest turning track for both the teams in this series. The curator has hinted a lot of turn from day 3. So toss also plays a very vital role here.

Winning last two test would be a daunting task for England. If they could repeat their last visit's performance, they could managed to level the series. On the other hand, India has to just draw the two matches to nail the series. Path is easier for India but then nothing comes easier in test cricket. The name itself says it all - Test Cricket.

India vs England 3rd Test Live Streaming Score HotStar Star Sports

India vs England 3rd Test Match Preview

The series moves to Mohali. One of our favourite cricket grounds. A track which is considered to be pacer friendly but somehow hasn't supported pacers in last few games, especially in the last test match between India and South Africa. With an uncertainty about the pitch behaviour we enter into the third test match between India and England.
England comes with a strategy to level the series whereas India comes with a proposition to go one more level up in the series. And we could have had no better venue than Mohali for this competition.

England have confirmed two changes. Stuart Broad will make way for Chris Woakes due to a foot injury. Jos Buttler gets in due to Ben Duckett's poor performance. Third change could be in the form of a spinner. It is interesting to see whom would Cook include - Gareth Batty or Zafar Ansari?

Some changes are necessary for the England team. But overall they should ideally be satisfied with some good performance. They had a slight upper hand in the first test match. Second test match was an almost comprehensive win for India. Haseeb Hameed, Cook, Root, Stokes, Moeen Ali and Bairstow have done a good job so far.

Virat Kohli did a splendid job in the second test. He along with some good performance from Ashwin and collectively from other team members took India home. Parthiv Patel replaces Saha as the wicketkeeper. Apart from this, Kohli making any other change in the playing XI seems unlikely.

Stats are in favour of India. India is yet to lose a test match at Mohali. England has lost two matches here. But we all know England has done a great job especially in test cricket. India has to stay on toes for England can bounce back hard. Not to forget, England lost the first test at Ahmedabad in 2012-13 series. And then they bounced back to nail the series.

England has not yet wilted under pressure for sure. At the same time, India has to stay strong and keep the lead up in the series. Let's see how it turns out at Mohali. An exciting match ahead!

India vs England 2nd Test Live Streaming Score HotStar Star Sports

We got something that wasn't expected. India was expected to dominate the first test but somehow it was England who got the upper hand. The scorecard might show a picture of a boring flat track. But that wasn't the case. Spin got some support in patches and batsmen too relished the conditions. Extra 20 overs and the result could have been different. This makes the test series interesting. Watch India vs England 2nd test match live streaming on HotStar and Star Sports with live Hindi and English commentary. The venue for this match is Visakhapatnam.

The ACA-VDCA cricket stadium in Visakhapatnam would host a test match for the first time. This is a part of cricket board's initiative to bring test cricket to newer venues. Indore and Rajkot were also privileged to host a test match before this.

Indian spinners faced a tough time after a long time. Most of the sessions they were outplayed by the Englishmen. If Indian pacers would have provided some on-time breakthroughs, spinners could have applied more pressure on the visitors.

While the pitch at Rajkot proved to be a near nightmare for the spinners, the pitch here at the ACA-VDCA cricket stadium seems to be dry and might crack in a day or two. This might provide some relief to spinners from both the teams.

Virat Kohli would have to decide on the team combination. Will he go ahead with the five bowlers strategy that might include Amit Mishra or will he strengthen the batting line after what he saw at Rajkot? Anil Kumble has indicated the return of KL Rahul to the team. This may result in the exclusion of Gautam Gambhir from the playing XI. Hope he gets some fair chances soon after this. Meanwhile KL Rahul who got injured during the New Zealand series has proven his worth with couple of good innings in the Ranji Trophy. We might not be surprised if he plays tomorrow at Visakhapatnam.

England bowling line up did a decent job. Will Cook bring back James Anderson in the playing XI or will he continue with the same XI that played at Rajkot? Anyway, Anderson is fit to play.

Four test matches to go. A win here for either of the teams would give them an upper hand in the series. Let's hope for some great cricket ahead.
