James Anderson seeks a place in the ODI team

Who can forget the heroics of James Anderson in the Ashes? He led the English bowling department and clinched 24 Australian wickets. He played a vital role in England's win in the Ashes.

But in the recently concluded World Cup, his performance was not upto the mark. He admits that he bowled well against South Africa. But in the other matches his bowling form was disappointing. He was dropped from the team before the last group match against West Indies and also in the quarter final against Sri Lanka.

England plays Sri Lanka at home in June. This would be the best opportunity for Anderson to make a comeback into the national side. He said he is working hard to make a comeback as he wishes to play as much as possible for England.

After the test series and a T20 match, England plays 5 ODI matches against Sri Lanka. This ODI series starts from 28th June at Kennington Oval, London.
