India vs Australia Warm Up Match Preview

Time for the second and the last warm up match for the Indians and this time more exciting one! The first warm up match featured some players which were unknown for the Indian fans. But this time they would see some familiar faces in the Australian camp and also some loved faces added to the Indian team. International cricketers like Khawaja, Warner and Hughes would feature at Canberra for the 2nd warm up match. Meanwhile the Indian camp would look more glamorous with entries of MS Dhoni, Sehwag and R Ashwin.

Ones who watched the 1st warm up match would certainly say "The match belonged to the batsmen!". And the CA Chairman's XI had the upper hand. First day they scored a mammoth 398 runs for the loss of 6 wickets with a run rate of above 4.6 wherein the only Indian bowler who could impress was Umesh Yadav. The batsmen who won hearts were Robinson and Cooper.

In turn Indian batsmen scored 320 for the loss of 6 wickets. Adding to the joy of Indian fans, Sachin scored the highest runs 92 and he was followed by fifties from Laxman and Sharma. Skipper Dravid scored 45.

The recent concern in the Indian camp is fitness of Ishant Sharma. He might be rested with a hope that he will be fit enough to play in the 1st test match which kicks off from 26th December. The Indian team has suffered injury blows of Zaheer Khan in the recent past. He has hardly recovered from his injury and should feature in 1st test. Indians were already cautious about the spearhead Zaheer and now injury to Ishant is a worrying factor for them.

Weather forecast indicates interruption from rain. Let us hope the predictions of weathermen goes wrong and we all are treated with another exciting cricket match. Players to watch out would be the ones with a natural aggression in their batting. If it is Virender Sehwag for India then it is David Warner for the CA Chairman's XI. And not to forget, they both play for the same team in IPL. Also it would be a treat to watch some compact batting from Khawaja, Dravid and Laxman. On the bowling side, everyone is excited to see if the Indian bowlers can offer some swing and to what extent does it bother the opposition.
