This is what you call an exciting test match, isn't it? Every day's play ends with both the teams in a winning position. Indian batsmen couldn't hold on for too long resulting in a quick wrap up of innings. India conceded a lead of 50 odd runs to provide Australia an upper hand in the start.
A good start was expected from Australian openers as an empathic win was expected from Australia after a long time. Indian bowlers bowled their heart out and left Australian in trouble at a score of 27 for 4. Umesh Yadav has been the most impressive Indian bowler so far who again clinched 4 wickets so far in 2nd innings. He looked inspired from Hilfenhaus' five-for today.
At the end of Day 3 the test match looks wide open which Australia having a slight edge over India. Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey shared a good partnership to provide Australia a considerable lead. Hussey stays unbeaten for Australia with only two wickets left and a total lead of 230 runs.
Sehwag looks happy with Indian bowling performance but he is also aware of opening batsmen responsibility while chasing in the 4th innings. He feels anything under 300 is achievable. It seems India will get a target of less of 300 but we can't forget Sehwag doesn't have a good record batting in 4th innings. At the same time Laxman's jinx at MCG continues. Much more is expected from the bats of Dhoni and Kohli.
