Disappointment for Indian team continues as they lost 2nd test match leading to 6 abroad losses on the trot. This is certainly a very big worrying factor for the Indian team. There is already a huge buzz in India where the ex-cricketers are providing various suggestions. Most of them believe its time to give Rohit Sharma an opportunity by dropping VVS Laxman. Few of them suggest to give Kohli few more chances before dropping him. There isn't any firm reaction yet from the Indian team management.
The series now moves on to the 3rd test match to be played on the bouncy and quick Perth track. This pitch is well known as one of the quickest tracks in the world. Recent addition of extra grass on the pitch will further help the pacers in swing and pace. However as the bounce is true the batsmen find it easy to stroke the ball well, if and only if they time the ball properly.
Australia enjoys an unassailable lead of 2-0 with only 2 tests to go. Their next target would be to win the next two also. The only concern for Australia would be their inexperienced opening batsmen. Middle order is strong with Clarke, Ponting and Hussey. Bowling deparment has lived upto the expectations so far.
For India things are the other way round at this moment. Entering into the 3rd test match, still neither batting nor bowling has lived upto the expectations. Out of form Dravid, Laxman, Kohli and Gambhir are biggest concern in the batting line up. Bowling has seen mixed success. At times the bowlers struck regularly and at times for a long patch, they couldn't clinch a wicket.
Let us see if the 3rd test match will be an intensely fought battle or will it again be a one sided affair. If Indian bowlers capitalise on the early breakthroughs and if the batting line up clicks; this could completely be a different story.
