Time for some T20 action! Another whitewash in a test series would certainly be an eye opener for team India. Some immediate steps are required as something is surely going wrong within the team. Probably a win or two can change the complete scenario for team India. And there can't be any better opportunity than this. India now faces Australia in limited overs cricket which is a completely different ball game.
Four years ago India bounced back hard after two test matches and went on to win the trination ODI series also. Something similar is expected from the team this time also. India can take these matches also as a preparation for the World T20 cup which arrives later this year.
With half of the T20 squad of India has players below an age of 25, this serves them a brilliant opportunity to leave a mark and perhaps gain a place in test squad also. With likes of Rohit Sharma, Sehwag, Gambhir, Kohli, Raina, Dhoni, Zaheer, Sachin, Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Irfan Pathan, etc; Indian team looks a stronger outfit.
Australia now has a new skipper who is uncapped as well - George Bailey. This also marks return of veteran spinner Brad Hogg. As described by Dhoni, spinners are like whine, older the whine more is its effect; Hogg could be a match turner!
With a better pedigree of T20 cricket and also need to adapt to the conditions; India will play with mixed feelings but with a certain desperation to clinch a win here at Sydney. On the other hand, Australians won't take things lightly as they would love to continue their winning run in all forms of cricket.
