England Vs West Indies 1st Test Live Streaming - ESPN STAR Cricket

England vs West Indies 2012 series has begun with a test match at the Lord's - the home of cricket. England won the toss and elected to field first. It seems the decision has turned out to be beneficial to England. West Indies are bowled out for 243 in 89.5 overs.

West Indies were in trouble right from the start when they first lost a wicket at 13 runs (Powell departed at 5 runs). Next to go was Edwards who contributed only one run. This was followed by a good 54 runs partnership between Barath and Bravo. But Barath was the third one to go in 32nd over at an individual score of 42 from 101 balls where he hit 9 boundaries. Bravo followed suit and was run out on an individual score of 29 from 74 balls. Thus fourth wicket went down at a score of 100.

A good 81 runs partnership came up between Chanderpaul and Samuels before Samuels departed on 31 and West Indies looked in trouble at 181 for 5. Wickets kept falling at regular interval and there was hardly any support left for Chanderpaul. He remained not out on 87 runs as the last wicket of Gabriel fell on the first ball of 2nd day's morning.

Stuart Broad was phenomenal with his bowling as he clinched 7 wickets giving away just 72 runs off 24.5 overs. This is his career best haul! He has provided England a good opportunity to score big with a quick run rate and apply pressure on West Indies in the second innings.
