T20 World Cup Live Streaming Cricket

West Indies is crowned as the T20 World Cup 2012 champions.

ICC World T20 Cup 2012 begins in Srilanka and that embarks on another grand event of cricket. 2011 world cup was a phenomenal success and let us hope the feat is achieved again with T20 world cup 2012. Srilanka hosted 2011 world cup with India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and they are lucky enough to have another cricket fair this year too.

Any guesses who would win the T20 world cup this year? This time it is too hard to predict and that is what makes this edition of T20 world cup more interesting. With equally matched teams, the speculations won't come to any conclusion and in return we see more enthralling matches.

T20 is a format that doesn't belong to a single team. Even a new entrant can surprise any experienced team with an upset on a given day. So we can expect something similar from teams like Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Afghanistan. After all we can't forget that Ireland or Afghanistan has battled it hard in the qualifiers to reach the T20 world cup.

If we move a level ahead we have teams like New Zealand and West Indies well known for swift fielding and powerful hitting. With likes of McCullum or Chris Gayle, we can expect a flood of runs. Smart bowlers like Vettori or Narine are big enough to trouble the opposition.

Defending champions England will certainly miss Kevin Pietersen who played the biggest role in their T20 world cup victory in 2010. Their pace attack looks good but batting looks thinner in absence of Kevin. T20 champions of 2009 Pakistan are a surprise package and tough team to beat. Some sluggish fielding and wayward bowling can cause them a match or else they can beat any given team. 2007 T20 champions India are in good form and look hungry to win this year's title. Their biggest weakness is their inconsistent bowling attack. If they can attain some consistency in bowling then their batting line up can take care of wins.

Australia, once the most feared teams are highly inconsistent. Their test record has improved recently but their see-saw performances in ODI and T20 cricket continues. They are the toughest competitors in any forms of cricket and every team knows this very well.

South Africa has been the most consistent team in last couple of years and also currently ranked number one in T20 cricket. But as we all know they perform much less than their potential when it comes to big cricket events. Hopefully the scenario changes this time for them.

Sri Lanka seems to be one of the top favourites this year. With players like Mendis, Herath, Jaywardene, Dilshan all in good form added with home support, Srilanka looks like the team to beat.

Although its difficult to pick a favourite this year, but it ensures an enthralling T20 world cup for all of us. Enjoy ICC World Twenty20 to the fullest!
