India vs England live streaming on Star cricket continues as the series is at an interesting stage with scores level at 1-1 and two test matches to be played. The third match begins at Eden Gardens in Kolkata where India has a good record in the recent past.
India has won 10 matches but also lost 8 here at Eden Gardens which looks disappointing for a home team. But after a loss to Pakistan in 1999, India has never lost a match here. Encouraging stats are, after 1999 India played 9 test matches here and won six out of them. Three ended in a draw. So even if England enters this match with a better confidence, India can still feel upright with a good record here at this venue.
England spin attack took more advantage of the spin amiable track at Mumbai and unsettled Indian batting line up completely to register a huge victory. With Cook, Prior and Pietersen in good nick, England can have an upper hand in third test if rest of the prime batsmen regain their form.
India on the other hand heavily relies on runs scored by in form batsman Pujara. Sehwag plays his natural game irrespective of version of cricket. So he may score a quick ton in a match but he may score almost nothing in the other match. Gambhir played well in the 2nd innings at Wankhede stadium but overall he is out of form. Same looks the case of Yuvraj Singh. Sachin Tendulkar is unimpressive since last few test matches and he badly needs to click this time.
Indian spinners Ashwin, Harbhajan and Ojha couldn't make optimum use of the spin friendly track in the second test. A lot is expected from them again this time. On the other hand if the Indian fast bowlers can provide an early break through that would be an added advantage for Dhoni and his team.
Let us stay tuned with live cricket streaming on Star Cricket and ESPN and keep a close eye on which team takes a lead in this important test series.
