Notably the first ever Women's cricket World Cup was played two years before men's first world cup. England won the title but since then Australia has emerged to be a strong team with five title wins. Last world cup was played way back in 2005 in South Africa. India managed to reach the final exactly the way Indian men's team reached finals in 2003 ICC world cup. With same opponents viz. Australia even the result was similar. Australia won 2005 women's world cup.
