After a tough fought first warm up match, India A team takes on the Australians for second practice match in Chennai. Australians took first match not to be drawn but won because after scoring 241 they managed to bundle out Indian Board President's XI to just 230.
Clarke might not play the second warm up game because he is recovering from an injury. Similarly David Warner would also take rest. The other players in the squad for match against India A are Cowan, Hughes, Watson, Khawaja, Wade, Maxwell, Henriques, Johson, Pattinson, Starc, Bird, Doherty and Lyon.
India A will be led by Gautam Gambhir who has a lot to prove after he is dropped from the Indian team for first two international test matches. He will not only try to bat well against the quickies and spinners but would also try his level best that India A gets some psychological advantage against Australia before first test match.
India A squad is as follows:
Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Jivanjot Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, Manoj Tiwary, Rakesh Dhruv, C Gautam, Vinay Kumar, Dhawal Kulkarni, Ashok Menaria, Abhishek Nayar, Jalaj Saxena, Manpreet Gony
Australia has come up with a plan to play three spinners and two fast bowlers. This is a part of their experiment to check what would be the ideal bowling combination for the test series. This experiment may give India A batsmen a tough time but with the likes of Rahane, Sharma, Tiwary, Nayar, etc the home team seems to have an upper hand.
