Chennai Super Kings face Kolkata Knight Riders and Pune Warriors take on Delhi Daredevils today

Two great matches lined up today as defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders face yet again last year's finalists Chennai Super Kings. On the other hand two teams that are out of form face each other to gain some form viz. Pune Warriors India and Delhi Daredevils.

Match 1 - Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Venue - M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

A very strong team at home, Chennai Super Kings would fancy their chances to beat KKR one more time in this IPL and topple Bangalore to regain top spot in the points table. CSK is placed second and one win away from the top position.

Will it be Dhoni's CSK or Gambhir's KKR that will stand as a winner today?
Michael Hussey is serving CSK at his best as he keeps scoring runs at the top. Although he doesn't receive a great support at the top from Murali Vijay or Suresh Raina, still he keeps one end tied up and scores consistently. Thanks to some outstanding match winning knocks from Captain Cool Dhoni, CSK has managed too many last over wins.

Kolkata Knight riders haven't won many this year but they are still in contention for the play-offs. A series of wins from hereon can place them in top four depending on how other teams perform. Gautam Gambhir still is the most reliable batsman in the Knight Riders. Kallis seems to have regained form. Bisla who won the IPL final last year for KKR also seems to be back in form. Morgan has played some good innings to take KKR home. Bowling wise Sunil Narine will be the pick of their bowlers.

Match 2 - Pune Warriors India vs Delhi Daredevils
Venue - Chattisgarh International Stadium, Raipur

Although this match might not be very interesting in terms of the points table standings but this provides a good entertaining opportunity for a neutral venue like Raipur. This year IPL will visit some neutral venues and hence the popularity will improve further.

Pune Warriors saw a nightmare in their last match at Bangalore when Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 260 plus runs and a huge century by Chris Gayle. 17 sixes and 13 boundaries were more than enough by any batsman to dismantle opposition bowling attack.

Pune has won just two matches out of eight and they need to win atleast six out of the remaining eight to have slim chances of making it to the play offs. Captaincy woes continues and even bad form of some key players isn't helping the team's cause. With both the departments (batting and bowling) underperforming, this team really needs a big win to boost the moraile.
Is Sehwag due for a big knock today at Raipur?
Delhi Daredevils happended to be the "team to beat" last year. But this year they are the team being beaten by everyone this year. They have managed to clinch just one win out of eight and their chances of making it to the second stage looks improbable. Sehwag's good knock brought them one win against Mumbai Indians. Their last match against Kings XI Punjab brought disappointment to them again. If Sehwag, Warner, Jayawardene and many more to name can all click together; this team can beat Pune Warriors.
