West Indies vs Srilanka - Tri Series 2013 5th Cricket Match

West Indies vs Srilanka

After India pulled up a big win over West Indies, the tri series is live again with all the three teams have good chance of reaching the final. West Indies have won two and lost one and also have a bonus point. So even if they lose today they will have a very slim chance of reaching the finals. If they win here today against Srilanka they are surely into the finals. On the other hand if Srilanka wins today with a bonus point they are almost into the finals. If they win without bonus point and if India wins against Srilanka in the next match, then everything would rely on the net run rates of these three teams. Interesting! Meanwhile cricket fans in India can enjoy live TV telecast of today's match on Ten Cricket, Ten Sports and Ten Cricket HD.

West Indies looked comfortable with two wins when they faced Indian team that had already lost two matches in the tri series. In a must win situation, Indian batsmen came up with phenomenal performance to score 300 plus and clinch a big win with bonus point. So India now are very much into the contention of the finals but they will have to beat Srilanka in next match to continue their hopes of finals. West Indies skipper Dwayne Bravo has been suspended for one ODI due to slow over rate in last match and another such previous issue this year.

Probably Pollard will take over from Bravo and lead the side today. West Indies would certainly like to win this one and not leave their fate on net run rates in the end. Charles looks the most confident batsmen in their line up the way he leaves the ball and times the loose ones. Gayle played well against Srilanka in the first match but since then he has hardly contributed. West Indies has a long batting line up and they all need to click today if they have to see the finals at home. Tino Best, Darren Sammy, Sunil Narine and Roach need to provide breakthroughs to shatter the strong batting line up of Srilanka.

Who can forget the brilliant batting performance of Tharanga, Jayawardene and Mathews against India. They scored a mammoth total and demolished Indian batting line up to clinch a bonus point victory. Hopefully these batsmen continue their good form today against West Indies. The bowling line up is strong with Malinga, Kulasekara, skipper Mathews and we may see one or two spinners in the squad as well.
